The Client

......Randalls Brewery......

Randalls brewery (established in 1823) is one of the largest brewery's in the united kingdom. Due to this it is comparative they must have vast amounts of top professional advertising.... but your asking yourself, why does a company this huge not have its own advertising department? Well the company publisher at randalls is only responsible for menus and promotions for in house pubs and restaurants they supply too and own, however it does not create advertisement for the actually products they sell, and as of late beer companies have raised prices of advertisement that randall would usually buy of them to promote there stock to prices which they see not fit for the quality of the job. This is where they have gone to innovate designs a small local graphic design company to help them. Alas innovate designs thought it would be a more suitable job to point randalls in the way of deviantART known for its famous design and interface artists to take on this challenge and have a chance to Win 500 dollars and the much bigger prize of future freelance work with randalls

Rules

Photography is allowed so photographers be sure to get involved
Photo manipulation is allowed however be sure to only use free stock
Digital art allowed but no vectors
Typography is a must, however should you need help please contact me
Resolution must be at 1,5,1 ratio and a minimum of 1200 x 1800, preferably 1600 x 2400 or higher. There is no maximum size.
There is not limits to many submissions you enter as long as they follow rules
All submissions must be sent via note to =leigh-thebault
Deadline is midnight November 21st GMT Time

The Competition

Brief 1, Stella Artois: You (the designer) will take a photo of a pint of stella artois, and incorporate the message of it being more expensive and more than just your average larger (tips: lighting, perspective, cool condensation). Typography to be use is "You wouldn't drink champagne from a teacup" and at the bottom "Perfectly Served", We would also like you too incorporate the stella artois logo into your design. Do not worry about copyrights we are clients to the product and brand identity.

Brief 2, Strongbow: You (the designer) is to create a design advertising new draft strongbow extra cold. Maybe because this will be used over winter season you may include a christmas theme and use snow to make it look even colder. Once your design is created be sure to have a full pint glass of strongbow with condensation (this is essential as its new extra cold) in your design next to your main image (as its a secondary image we suggest this be smaller). Typography to be used, "A taste that hits a litter deeper"

People stop asking about stock, this is for good designers not people who grab somebody elses picture and adds a lens flare and brushes!

The Prize

Okay well we have a huge prize pot thanks to Randalls brewery and innovate advertising totalling to 500 dollars. There are two separate prizes as this competition has two concepts, however although each concept winner will earn 250 dollars, you are entitled to enter both parts of the concept and therefore it is possible for you too win the full amount of money. Also the winner shall have an opportunity if they wish to work in the future with randalls doing freelance work.

Okay well even though im british i respect most of the people on deviantART are american so i have put the prize fund total in dollars. The main currency conversion funds i have worked it out for so far are as follows:

399 Euro's *which we have stretched to 400*
269 Pounds *which we have stretched to 275*
672 AU dollars *which we have stretched to 675*

Unfortunately there are no cash prizes for second or third however thanks to four sponsors we have two six month subs for second place winners for each contest and two three month subs for two third winners for each concept.
